Marisa Gray
Director of Consultation & Partnerships
Marisa A. Gray is currently the Director of Student Services at Cambrian at Hanson College in Toronto, Canada. While she has worked in several areas of higher education throughout her career, she specializes in international education. Marisa has a wealth of experience in organizational strategic planning, developing strategic partnerships abroad, and supporting both students and faculty in education abroad. She is also versed in designing and implementing experiential learning programs for both in-person and virtual exchanges, education abroad learning outcomes, assessment, and culturally responsive teaching and learning in global education. Outside of institutional commitments, Marisa has served on task forces and academic consortium boards for several international organizations. She continues to make an impact in international education by establishing positive, diverse, and inclusive systems/spaces to support students. Her work was recently recognized by Diversity Abroad, who awarded her as a Trailblazer in international education and for displaying excellence in diversity, equity, and inclusion in international education.
Soon to be a triple alum of Morgan State University, Marisa is a Doctoral Candidate in the Higher Education, Ph.D. program. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Administration in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Her current research focuses on the African American student study abroad experience and the effect of study abroad on the development of their intercultural sensitivity, identity development and global perspective.
